TODA Racing uses the latest design and manufacturing technologies to produce their camshafts. All TODA parts are designed, tested, and manufactured using the IBM CATIA CAD/CAM/CAE system. This is the same system used by Honda, Boeing, Ferrari, Porsche, and other leading high technology manufacturers

 

Design
The primary and secondary lobes are designed to be the same size. Overall construction of the cam has been heavily revised. With areas of stress,rigidity and weight all greatly benefiting. Normal cams are created from solid blanks, but the VTEC KILLER CAM is produced from a hollow blank, which not only reduces weight but also improves valve timing accuracy through a reduction in flexing. The cam is designed to bed in quickly and have a low wear rate.

Characteristics
The mid rocker cam is removed & both pins are changed, reducing the valve train mass for better response. Disabling the VTEC system removes fluctuations in the oil pressure system, securing a reliable oil feed to all the main moving components. Lost motion valve should be removed. For max performance, should be used in conjunction with TODA Sports Injection kit.

The kit comes complete with camshafts and special hardware needed to complete the conversion.


 

TODA Racing campulleys allow precise tuning of camshaft timing. Adjustable campulleys are essential when using TODA camshafts or any non-stock performance camshaft. TODA campulleys are made completely from 7075 aluminum while our competitors use 6061. 6061 is a cheaper grade of aluminum and is easier to produce on CNC machines, therefore is cheaper to produce. 7075 is a more expensive and higher grade of aluminum commonly found on fighter aircraft landing gear or other high stress areas. The use of 7075 aluminum allows TODA Racing to offer the strongest and lightest campulley on the market. In addition, our advanced timing degree system makes TODA campulleys the most accurate on the market. For long term durability the timing marks are machined into the metal, not painted on, or silk screened, therefore they will not rub off with age.

TECHNICAL NOTE
Some aftermarket campulleys use connecting bolts that are not compatible with TODA camshafts. The use of these bolts could damage the TODA camshafts. If you plan to use TODA camshafts, we only recommend using TODA campulleys to prevent damage to the camshafts.


 

TODA Racing dual valve springs have specific spring rates for TODA Spec B and Spec C camshafts. TODA valve springs allow maximum lift while preventing valve float which can occur under high rpm, high lift conditions. Their specific spring rates prevents damage to TODA camshafts which may occur as a result of using valve springs that are too stiff. Valve springs which are too stiff may also put additional stress on the timing belt.

EGG-SHAPED SECTION
springs are used to achieve the high lifts required safely. Lift 12.5mm Max. Variable pitch spring.



Comparing a conventional high lift spring with EGG technology, you get 20% more valve lift with a 15% reduction in weight.

 

 

TODA Sports Injection Kit greatly improves engine response and power output, through the use of one throttle body per cylinder. Effective tuning per cylinder not compromised tuning with only one throttle body.

Super Response
The improvement of the accelerator response is due to the reduction in volume of air within the manifold.

Increased Power
Improved induction efficiency gives the engine the correct quantities of air/fuel on demand.
1. Each intake is made the same length.
2. Straight induction ports.
3. Individual throttle bodies are individually smaller in volume but collectively larger in volume. Giving both low- end torque and high-end power.
4. Airflow bench tested trumpet.

Bottom and Mid-range Tourque Increase
Each cylinder receives a fuller charge of air/fuel especially at low to mid engine speeds. This is due to the independent throttlebodies and more effective injector positioning.

Technical Note
The TODA Sports Injection kit requires a fully programmable fuel injection computer, custom engine wiring harness, and injectors.

The kit comes complete with forged pistons, rings, clips, and heavy duty wrist pins. Offers great gains when combined with Spec B and Spec C camshafts. TODA pistons maintain the Honda factory piston to wall clearance and allow for quiet and reliable operation.

The basic form of the piston is an elliptical barrel. This forms the basis from which each part is subjected to high loads and measured for thermal expansion to accuracy of 1/1000(mm). The top edge of the piston uses a castellation design to reduce sticking, improve lubrication and sealing. The design also acts as a scuff-band to reduce run in time.

TODA piston also feature improved oil drainage with redesigned oil channels. Improved oil drainage reduces piston weight during engine operations which is ideal for high rpm use.

TODA pistons are produced in house using a 3000 ton press and come fully balanced within 0.25 grams of each other.

 

 

TODA Racing offers a stroker kit for the B16A engine which increases displacement to 1797cc. The stroke is increased from 77.4mm to 87.2mm. The kit comes with TODA forged pistons (81mm or 81.5mm), heavy duty piston wrist pins, fully balanced connection rods, dynamically balanced crankshaft, and bearings which already have the clearance set. Compression ratio with a stock head gasket is 11.0 : 1 and the rod ratio is 1.54. This kit is completely balanced and blue printed.

 

 

Exclusively from TODA Racing. Reduces chance of oil pump failure during high rpm racing conditions. Popular in the Japanese N1 and N+ endurance racing series where TODA Racing is an engine supplier. The oil pump is the heart of the engine, so when modifications are carried out the oil pump should not be overlooked. Improved oil circulation helps prevent modified engines from incurring expensive rebuilds. Available in two sizes: 80mm & 84mm.

 

An important component that's often overlooked when building high power engines is the timing belt. A broken timing belt can result in bent valves, and in extreme cases, complete engine damage.

The TODA timing belt is 200% stronger than the stock timing belt and is designed to protect your engine and improve its performance and consistency. Engine performance is improved by eliminating belt stretch which occurs at high rpms, resulting in inconsistent cam timing and power output.

Whether your engine is stock or heavily modified, the TODA High Power timing belt will protect your engine from belt failure.

 

 

With ever improving tuning technology, the pressure increases found in the combustion chamber can become a problem. Improved gas sealing is a high priority when increasing the power output of any engine. Should be used with TODA forged pistons.

 

 

 

 

This competition exhaust manifold is developed based on data acquired from competition and continual engine dyno bench testing. It is designed to extract every bit of horsepower from a modified normally aspirated engine with attention paid to improving power all over the powerband. Constructed entirely from stainless steel for long term durability, these headers are hand built at the TODA factory by the same team that builds the TODA Formula 3 and Formula 4 racing exhaust manifolds, therefore available quantities are low and you will not find one on every other car out there. Highly recommended for engines already equipped with TODA Spec B and Spec C camshafts.

The TODA exhaust manifold has excellent ground clearance compared to other JDM exhaust manifolds.


 

Hours of dyno and race track testing have resulted in this new light weight fully stainless exhaust system for the 4AG AE86 Corolla. This system is hand built by TODA and available in limited quantities. TODA Racing has 16 years of racing experience with the 4AG equipped AE86 and this exhaust system is the culmination of that racing experience.

The TODA ECU program uses special fuel and ignition timing maps, 9000rpm redline, modified VTEC Activation, and modified VVT camshaft timing (cam gears are not necessary). Because all parameters are fully tuned through this special ECU program, dyno tuning of the Engine Kit is not required. Your stock ECU must be sent in to us for reprogramming. The price of the kit includes all shipping costs:

TODA Racing offers competition fuel computers for the AE86 16 valve 4AG engine. The STII ECU is for use with TODA camshafts and pistons while the N1 ECU is designed for the Japanese N1 endurance race series which use stock camshafts. This is an brand new TODA ECU, we don't need your stock ECU for exchange. An optional remote ignition controller is available for an additional $150.
